Biography

The past. Forever locked in regret. We tried, but we have one last chance.

Not so long ago, Penny Pringle was booked passage on board the Titanic and instructed to rendezvous with her partner Frank Carlson to enact a very high stakes mission. The two were supposed to be in First Class together, but a mix-up occurred and Penny was placed in Second Class instead. This delayed the mission's rendezvous point by several days, but finally on the fateful night of April 14, 1912, the mission occurred, and the results were a success on one front and milquetoast everywhere else. The mission, which was to retrieve the Rubaiyat, the notebook of Willi Von Haderlitz, and a painting, along with a diamond necklace which was initially not part of the plan but unfortunately proved to be a grave oversight, was held together purely a whim and a prayer plus counting on the Titanic's vigilant crew to not observe the breaking of class divisions. The fact they succeeded in ANY capacity was a miracle for Pringle, and subsequently fought to keep her AND Carlson on the service on account of preventing a potential communist revolution in Russia which could have greatly destabilized the world in more ways than one. The initial decision to dismiss both agents was overturned completely because of Penny's scorn alone, a very unusual turn of events.

Unfortunately Carlson and Pringle were not completely let off the hook, as they were demoted because of the failure to retrieve the other valuables which were tied to sales performed by the Black Hand terrorist group. The two went their separate ways upon war's declaration, Carlson in the Gallipoli Campaign as part of the RAMC, and Pringle in clandestine missions in Russia and the Balkans. It came as a surprise to Penny that Frank was brought back to the Secret Service for a very special mission, on the condition he continued his RAMC service publicly, and she had to assist in his duties. September 1916 was the year the pair got back together on the HMHS Britannic as part of her esteemed medical crew. Carlson was already quite familiar with the RAMC duties, but Pringle had to learn everything from start to finish to ensure the cover was absolutely perfect. Their mission is a double whammy: Potential espionage in Greece, and helping smuggle British materials and intelligence to strengthen a revitalized Russia into fighting the Germans. Both missions Pringle will need Carlson to help achieve, for these two missions she had been working on for years at this point. Once the Britannic arrives in Mudros, their mission starts completely.

They have one final chance to get the world fixed up nice and neatly. The failure was on both shoulders, and it is now a mutual responsibility for them alone to sort out.

One would be lying if they said the mistakes of the past didn't haunt them, just a little bit...
