Mark Muir was born on June 19th 1888 in Dublin Ireland, his life at a young age was quiet, in his early teen years he work at a dock yard helping move cargo onto ship, he then move to the city getting a job in the mail company, delivering mail and parcel to the home and building around, Muir save up for a house close to his family so he could meet them on days off, one evening Muir open up a newspaper finding a job offer in Southampton, Muir book a ticket Dublin to Southampton, whare Muir will work around delivering mail to the home of Southampton, he will work there for two years latter find a second job in London delivering more mail and parcel.



One spring day as Muir was working around London he pass the newspaper stand it read Titanic maiden voyage April 10th from Southampton to France then to Ireland last call to new York , Muir check the date seeing it April 1st he know that London is going the be bussie as some passenger will be in London to take the train to Southampton, Muir continue his work until he was done late one evening when he arrive at a bar that he always go to, as he enter he met by a lot of people as he look around the spot a chair at the bar he take a seat, Muir want to make friend so he turn to a man who look very rich, Muir take of his hand then ask " Names Mark Muir and you are!" as muir order a whisky on the rock the man turn put on a smile then ask " Arthur Guinness" he shook his hands then take a sip of his Irish whisky, They talk for the rest of the evening then Muir ask " say.. You going on that ship Titanic tomorrow " Arthur turns then replies " sure am taking my wife the maid and my dog.. Say.. I see you got a carriage outside mind if you help us tomorrow to the train station" Muir nods then slide his number so he can get in touch with him, Muir take his last sip then leave for the evening.

One morning as muir was working a letter from the White star Line come through he sits down pick up a knife then open the letter it reads " hello Muir is Arthur as you may herd the Titanic sank last week. Sorry I didn't got back to you I had a funeral to book as my wife and the maid and my dog perish in the sinking, I want you to work for me as a tradesmen I will pay for your travel and stay" the letter goes on Muir write back to Arthur then leave London heading back to Dublin to help Arthur at his workplace.

Four years goes by war is raging on Muir is working at the post office and with Arthur at his company as Muir pick up the todays Newspaper he flip a page seeing that a Hospital ship is dock in Southampton need more crew and medial workers to help pick up wounded soldier at Greek island, Muir talk to Arthur saying that he want to help the solider in Greek island and that There a ship in Southampton who need crew and medial workers, Arthur nods then lend him some money to book a ship from Dublin to Southampton Muir arrive on November 8th he book a hotel then the next morning he heads to the WSL office he book a crew as a cook helping with the food for the wounded solder and crew of the ship, Muir board the HMHS Britannic on the 12th Novermber at 8AM.
