Peter Campbell was born in Liverpool in 1888, his father was a Fireman for a nearby railway, and his mother stayed at home to take care of Peter, and his brother. Peter worked as a Fireman on the same railway as his father, until June 1914 when he joined the White Star Line as a trimmer. He also joined the RNR. Peter has been aboard Brittanic as a trimmer for her entire career.
