Biography

Finley Campbell was born in Scotland in 1888 and grew up in a fairly normal household. From a young age, he wanted to help people and make a difference, which eventually led him to join the Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC). When the Great War began, Finley decided to serve his country and became a medical officer, helping treat wounded soldiers and supporting other medical staff.

In 1915, Finley was assigned to HMHS Britannic as part of its medical staff. His job was to help care for wounded soldiers being transported from the front lines back to safety. Although the war was difficult, Finley stayed dedicated to his work and did his best to help those who needed medical attention.

As Britannic prepared for another voyage across the Mediterranean, Finley got ready to carry out his duties alongside the other doctors and nurses aboard. He saw his role as more than just a job, believing that helping save lives was one of the most important things he could do for his country.
